Aviation & Space Windows
McDanel provides sapphire and glass windows and domes for a number of space, commercial and defense aviation applications. McDanel Windows and Molded Optical Domes are specifically engineered for challenging aerospace applications. McDanel glass domes are molded from high quality glass materials such as borosilicate glass and Gorilla® Glass* for superior optical performance and higher scratch, pit and impact resistance; and has experience producing windows in other materials such as sapphire and calcium fluoride for the most demanding applications.
McDanel has a robust past performance portfolio including awards from organizations such as NASA and the U.S. Air Force. In addition, McDanel has engineered and manufactured for many prime aerospace contractors such as: Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Thales, Spirit Aerospace and SAIC.
