2. Wear Resistance: Sapphire has exceptional wear properties and scratch resistance compared to glass and many ceramic materials with diamond being one of the few materials with a higher hardness.
3. Wide range of transparency: Up to a 98.5% transmission and a transmission window from 190 nanometers in the UV range to 5 microns in the IR range.
